New Love

Many people come to the shelter looking for a new love to fill their hearts, including recent visitor Caroline Hitch.  Caroline and her cat, Tiffany, spent 16 long and happy years together before Tiffany recently passed of liver disease.  It took some time, but one Sunday morning Caroline decided to check out the local shelters and meet some new feline friends.

Baby Love, a gray tabby girl, caught Caroline's eye due to her similar coloring to Tiffany.  Our shelter first received Baby Love as an abandoned 6 week old kitten in September 2009.  She was fostered at first then eventually adopted.  However, her first family had to return her when they moved to a place that did not allow animals.

As all smart adopters should, Caroline took her time getting to know Baby Love and also visited other shelters to find the cat best suited to her personality and lifestyle.  We were very happy to see Caroline return in the afternoon to adopt Baby Love!  On behalf of all the volunteers and staff at the Oahu SPCA, we wish this couple endless happiness as they start a new chapter together in their Waikele home!!

...We also hope that people continue to spread the word about the Oahu SPCA and our incredible variety of cats and kittens.  Some of our felines are posted online here, but the best way to find your new love is to visit us.  (Don't forget the two-for-one adoption fee special going on right now!)
