Happy Endings

The shelter is packed to the max, but it is good to know there is a steady stream of families coming in to adopt our amazing animals.  The number of stray, abused, and neglected animals we see on a daily basis is staggering.  There are so many loving pets in shelters who need a second chance at happiness and we appreciate all of you who have chosen to adopt rather than buy your pets!

We's also like to recognize all of the great people who participate in our foster program, caring for lucky dogs or cats until they find forever homes.  Many of our animals blossom in a home environment and become much more desirable candidates for adoption because of the good work our foster parents do.  Peaches (shown below) is one of our most recent foster dogs who was adopted at Petco Pearl City last weekend.

And even when people cannot have animals in their homes, we are so thankful for those who choose to make donations of time, supplies, or money instead.  On behalf of all the grateful faces below, thank you to everyone who helps to keep our shelter going!!

Here are some of the Oahu SPCA's recent happy endings:

Dogs Dakota, Papaya, Bonnie, and Magoo were also adopted.  Cats Panther, Marshmallow, Twilight, and Dawn found forever homes as well.  Roosevelt, Brie and Jesse were fortunate to find foster-to-adopt families.
