Summer Adoption Special #2

Who can resist the charm of an adorable new puppy?  Those bitty little paws, that cute clumsy stride...  It is easy to see why people are instantly drawn to the puppies when they visit the shelter.  However, this means that many of our seniors are often overlooked and wait many months or even years to be adopted.  Because of the Oahu SPCA's no-kill philosophy we provide for our adoptable animals for as long as it takes to find them the right home, but we need your help as well.

Please consider adopting a senior dog!  As mentioned earlier this year in a previous blog post, some of the pros to adopting an adult animal are that they are usually already trained, and you can already evaluate their mature personality to see if it fits with yours.  Many times people also say adult shelter animals show their new owners extra love and gratitude for the rest of their lives, as they are able to fully appreciate the heroic act of being rescued from uncertainty.
