Thank you to everyone who visited our booth at the Sony Open on 1/14, 1/15 and 1/16. Over the course of the weekend we were able to spread the word about the Oahu SPCA to hundreds of people as they visited the Hawaii Wellness Directory’s tent. We also informed the public about the health benefits of pets, such as:
- Lower blood pressure
- Promote daily exercise
- Lower cholesterol
- Reduce stress
- Boost immune system
- Promote socialization
- Help prevent heart disease
- Predict seizures
- Comfort the elderly
- Fight depression
- Provide companionship
- Aid in illness recovery
It was lots of fun meeting so many fellow animal lovers and informing them about our services and available animals. If every person who passed through the tent told one friend about the Oahu SPCA, just imagine how many new people would know to adopt animals here, volunteer, or donate to our cause!
