Students from The shelter volunteers and staff were on hand to give tours of the dog and cat areas and also educate the 80 students and their teachers about the problem of animal abuse and neglect around the Waianae Coast and how the shelter works to rescue and rehabilitate the hundreds of dogs and cats before finding them foster or adoptable homes. “We are truly grateful to the teachers who supported the students in their project and the hard work and enthusiasm that the children had with making this such a successful event,” said Linda Vannatta, OSPCA board member and volunteer. “It was a pleasure for us to share with them about how they can make a difference in educating others about animal abuse and how they can make a difference to help solve this problem.”
